Lancaster
Group has initiated an extensive project to promote high quality IT
education in Kazakhstan. In partnership with NIIT, one of the global
leaders in IT learning solutions, Lancaster Group is opening five IT
centres in major cities of Kazakhstan. The first centre, NIIT@Futurtech
has opened its doors this month in Almaty and is successfully
operating.

Operating Company was approached by the Aktobe city administration with
a request to provide a sponsorship for the treatment of a local
resident, S.K. Iskakov. KKM OC responded to the request by providing
USD 5,000.

Operating Company supported the Student National Boxing Federation of
Kazakhstan by providing financial aid of USD 7,900 for improved
training and development opportunities.

The
annual summer concert “Caspian Sea, the Sea of Friendship” promotes
Mangystau Oblast among the Caspian countries. ERSAI Caspian Contractor
sponsored USD 70,000 for the organization of this cultural event.

KKM
Operating Company contributed USD 79,300 to the Aktobe affiliation of
“Kazakhavtodor” Republican National Enterprise, as a financial support
for their work on maintenance and improvement of the roads.
February
On
11 February the Harvard Club of Central Asia (HCCA) together with the
American Alumni Club (AAC) and Kazakhstan Press Club held a conference
on Kazakhstan’s accession to WTO. Prominent presenters from the sectors
of economy, macroeconomics and policymakers attended the conference to
share their views on the subject. KazInvestBank has provided financial
support in the amount of USD 2,000 to HCCA with the purpose of
maximizing the impact of the discussion and increasing the quality of
the conference.
Aktobe
Regional Social Support Foundation “Komek” received USD 25,800 from KKM
Operating Company as financial support for the development and
expansion of its facilities and projects.
