On October 12, 2012, a major deal in the pharmaceutical market was completed, which strengthened the position of JV Global Pharm by selling 60% of its stake to Turkey's largest pharmaceutical company Abdi Ibrahim Ilach Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S. (hereinafter referred to as Abdi Ibrahim), the remaining 40% was retained by AlmaPharm Invest, which is part of the Lancaster Group and Dostar Holding.

Abdi Ibrahim was founded in 1912 as a small pharmaceutical laboratory. The company has become the leader in the Turkish pharmaceutical sector in terms of turnover due to its unique market vision, dynamic structure and modern view of business. Abdi Ibrahim employs the largest number of people, about 3,000 qualified employees, and is the company with the largest sales and marketing team within the sector.
On the occasion of its 100th anniversary, Abdi Ibrahim launched the “Campaign for the Rational Use of Drugs” program, which is aimed at raising public awareness about the irrational use of drugs, which is very important for healthcare and the national economy and which will ultimately help change attitudes towards this issue.
The Kazakhstani company JV Global Pharm LLP was founded in 2000 and began its production activities in 2002. JV Global Pharm LLP, which has shown rapid growth since its inception, and is currently one of the most well-known pharmaceutical manufacturers of tablets and capsules in the Republic of Kazakhstan after the merger. Back in 2011, the company produced more than 70 drugs. Currently, the company sells its products through retail distribution networks and government tenders.
As part of the national public procurement program, the company supplies hypoglycemic, anti-tuberculosis, gastroenterological, hepatoprotective, antihistamines, anticonvulsants, as well as drugs for the treatment of HIV infections to all regions of Kazakhstan. Exports are directed to countries such as Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. In the near future, the company plans to expand its export geography to countries such as Russia, Belarus, Turkmenistan, Moldova and Armenia.
