A PCR laboratory has begun operating on the basis of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Center of the Armed Forces in Nur-Sultan.

Since the introduction of sanitary and epidemiological measures in the country, this is the second laboratory created in the Armed Forces. They enable the Defense Ministry to independently provide personnel with the necessary amount of PCR diagnostics, which is highly accurate.

In addition to tests for coronavirus infection, laboratory equipment makes it possible to identify more than 300 pathogens. Its productivity is up to 150 tests per day. The waiting time for the result does not exceed 8 hours.

It should be noted that the laboratory was opened without attracting budgetary funds. As part of their charitable activities, the shareholders of the Lancaster Group, through the Nurlan Kapparov Public Foundation, donated to the Republican State Institution “Military Unit 64615” of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan equipment for laboratory testing for “Detection of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus (COVID-19) RNA by PCR by PCR and kits for determining 2019 — nCoV by real-time PCR in the amount of 5,000 pieces for a total amount of 5,000 pieces about 70 million tenge.

The government of our country is taking significant measures to combat the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus epidemic, and has invested large human and financial resources. And domestic business representatives also do not stand aside and are actively using their full potential to eliminate the infection as soon as possible and return to a normal stable lifestyle. Earlier, Lancaster Group shareholders supported a campaign to raise funds for the purchase of PCR tests for testing for the coronavirus COVID-19, initiated by the Saby Charitable Foundation, allocating 110,000,000 tenge from personal funds.

The work of this laboratory makes it possible to provide a wider range of examinations for personnel and their families. First of all, those involved in measures to combat the spread of infection will be tested.

On the first day of the laboratory, the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Nurlan Yermekbayev, got acquainted with its equipment and the working conditions of medical personnel.
