The shareholders of Lancaster Group Kazakhstan decided to allocate 100,000,000 tenge for the purchase of PCR tests to detect coronavirus.
Thus, the company's executives supported the campaign to raise funds for the purchase of rapid tests and test systems for testing the coronavirus COVID-19, initiated by Asel Tasmagambetova, President and Founder of the Saby Charitable Foundation, and Kenes Rakishev, co-founder of the Saby Foundation. The founders of the Fund allocated 110 million tenge from their own funds.
Lancaster was one of the first to respond to the Foundation's call for help in connection with the declaration of an emergency regime in the country due to the current situation with the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus and the subsequent announcement of quarantine in Almaty and Nur-Sultan.
Timely diagnosis of the new coronavirus is a vital procedure that will make it possible to detect the disease in the very first days and start antiviral therapy as early as possible. This, in turn, will reduce the spread of infection. In this situation, business social responsibility is a direct responsibility for the life and health of the population of Kazakhstan, which in turn coincides with an integral part of Lancaster Group's corporate values. Therefore, the company is trying to help its compatriots in difficult situations and is making efforts to go through this difficult time for everyone, when it comes to public health and the future of the country.
PCR tests for the detection of the coronavirus Covid-19 will be purchased by the Foundation and will be transferred as soon as possible free of charge to the country's clinical diagnostic laboratories to conduct free tests to the population.
