This apartment in Semey was presented to Yerzhan Amarkhanov from Lancaster Group Kazakhstan for his courage and humanity — Yerzhan saved fifty people's lives.
The shareholders of Lancaster Group Kazakhstan, represented by Berik Kaniev, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Yuri Park, after hearing his story, wanted to get to know him personally, hear from him the details of the incident, how he was not afraid and dragged people off the burning bus, how he felt and what he was thinking about. Yerzhan impressed with his story during a personal conversation with shareholders.
This act says a lot about a person; it should be noted. And we wanted to support Yerzhan so that he doesn't lose faith in justice and knows that in life the good you've done always comes back to you. The decision to get on a burning bus and putting your life in danger more than once and thinking only about saving these people is at least worthy of respect. Although you know that Yerzhan's personal belongings, documents and money burned down, he didn't think about it for a minute. Moreover, Yerzhan is a true altruist of our modern society and a true patriot of his country. Despite his financial situation, in his everyday life, Yerzhan trains boys and children from his hometown and suburbs for free, as he understands that these kids need to be given strength and faith in themselves so that they strive for a good, bright future and become decent people. And sport, like nothing else, motivates people: it teaches you to set and achieve goals and helps you build character. Everyone should have such qualities, and they must be taught. Yerzhan is trying to equip the training hall himself, trying to get support himself to create conditions for these guys. And he still has a lot of plans for the future, his dream is to see his students as worthy individuals and great athletes, and his students are already achieving significant success in competitions. This shows that his efforts in these children are yielding results. Yerzhan has a big family, four children, and they are all very proud of their father. Yerzhan turned out to be a very simple, sincere and kind guy. There is so much light and kindness in this man; there are few people like him.
By and large, Yerzhan impressed the company's shareholders with this. Because the desire to invest efforts in the development of the younger generation, the views and life principles of Yerzhan and our shareholders converged at one point.
Social responsibility is an integral part of Lancaster Group's corporate values: We take our role in society seriously and help the regions where we operate. By volunteering to solve social and environmental problems, we support schools, medical institutions, sports and cultural events.
Therefore, the company's shareholders themselves always try to invest in social projects that are aimed at developing children's sports, improving the infrastructure of training centers, improving the skills of the coaching staff, identifying talented children who will soon become future athletes in Kazakhstan and will bring quite a few victories to their homeland. Such projects include the “Jas Qyran” football training center for children and youth, the reconstruction of Almaty's legendary Sputnik stadium, the creation of the Youth Football Committee of the Kazakhstan Football Federation, etc.
To date, Yerzhan Amarkhanov has been handed the keys to his apartment, and preparatory work is underway to improve the infrastructure of the Greco-Roman wrestling training hall, which is based in the local school's gym.
