The founder of the AirVision.kz Foundation, Berik Kaniev, and the city's businessmen Sergey Spitsyn and Maxim Baryshev, during a meeting to solve the problem of air pollution in Almaty, decided to gasify the private sector free of charge.
One of the main sources of air pollution in the Almaty agglomeration is low-rise private areas not connected to gas supply, whose residents widely use coal and other solid fuel for space heating. This leads to significant emissions of harmful substances both into the air and indoors, thereby causing serious harm to human health.
According to the akimats of Almaty and Almaty region, to date, 1,587 houses are not connected to gas, not counting the huge number of summer cottages.
As a result of the meeting, @airvisionkz, together with businessmen, launched a project to gasify a private area in Almaty by the end of this year, in particular, to gasify 200 houses of socially vulnerable segments of the population free of charge.
