Most recently, Gaukhar Kapparova, a shareholder of Lancaster Group, supported the Mazmundama Foundation, which works to translate famous bestsellers into Kazakh, and has contributed to the release of books like Alice in Wonderland and Women in Science: 50 Women Who Changed the World.
When choosing a genre, Gaukhar Kapparova wanted to pay special attention to children's books and children's literature, as she believes that this is very important and necessary for the children themselves, as well as for maintaining and developing the Kazakh language. Moreover, Gaukhar Kapparova wanted to focus on books for girls so that girls could study, develop, get an education, and, thanks to such books, be inspired to new achievements.
Gaukhar Kapparova hopes that stories about the world's first female scientists with incredible achievements in the world of science will inspire young readers.
“Every child should have a big dream. This great dream will lead him to great achievements. A book is like a nest in every child's soul that nurtures this great dream. I wish every child has a bright future and that they grow up reading books, finding inspiration and good role models!” - a quote from the preface to Alice in Wonderland.
It is also worth noting that the edition of the book “Alice in Wonderland” is dedicated to the blessed memory of Gaukhar Kapparova's mother, Roza Adasbayeva. According to Gaukhar Kapparova, my mother was an amazing woman! Solid life principles, honesty, sincerity and humanity were her guides to life! After graduating with honors, Roza Adasbayevna became a chemical scientist. She worked for more than 40 years at the YuzhKazGeology chemical laboratory, where she rose from ordinary specialist to laboratory head, enjoying the respect and love of her colleagues. “I am very proud of my mom and she will definitely remain an example for me!” - Gaukhar Kapparova speaks warmly.
