The “Zhas Kyran” Children's and Youth Football Center was established in 2018 on the basis of Almaty Sports School No. 2, one of the most famous in Kazakhstan. The goal and idea of this project is to comprehensively support the development of youth football in Kazakhstan, improve the infrastructure of training centers, improve the skills of the coaching staff, and identify talented guys who will soon become future football players in Kazakhstan.
The renovated Sputnik Stadium is designed for 800 spectators with a suspended roof and is equipped with rooms under the stands, a field with a drainage system and the latest generation of Italian artificial turf certified by FIFA. The football center is designed for 500 young football players. The total coaching staff of the football center is 50 people.
As part of a public-private partnership with the Mayor's Office of Almaty, Zhas Kyran Children and Youth Football Center LLP acted as an investor, investing in the reconstruction and construction of a full-fledged football center. Today, the center has a team of the same name, which plays in the Second League of the Kazakhstan Championship.
