
Mirzhan Karakulov, the second Nurlan Kapparov Graduate Fellowship for the 2021 academic year, has been announced! (FB: Mirzhan Karakulov) Mirzhan Karakulov has 16 years of experience in economics and finance in Kazakhstan and abroad.
Starting his career in 2002 at Accept Agrochem as a financial specialist, Mirzhan rose from a risk manager to a board member of commercial and quasi-state financial organizations. In 2014-2016, Mirzhan headed the inspection division of the National Bank of Kazakhstan. He currently advises the International Finance Corporation's Stress Asset Recovery Program in the African region.
Mirzhan received a master's degree in economic development from Vanderbilt University (USA) and a bachelor's degree with honors in economics from KIMEP University. He and his wife have three children.
