The first International Chess World Championship among school teams organized by FIDE has ended in Aktau, in which the teams of the RFMS of Almaty and Astana successfully participated
In achieving such success in the international arena, the school team and the Fizmat Endowment Fund supported the young chess players: they financed training camps and the Fizmat Chess Open chess tournament. Together we are doing more for the future of young athletes!
The team of the RFMSH Almaty took second place in the senior age group, and the students of the capital took third place in the younger age group up to 12 years!
These are excellent results: in the championship final, our guys competed with 43 teams from 39 countries in the senior age group and 27 teams from 22 countries in the junior.
There were six prizes at the championship: gold, silver, and bronze medals in two age groups. Kazakhstan won prizes in both groups — both medals were awarded to the guys from the RFMSH. This is a great achievement!
