On September 6, in AK Orda, Kasym-Jomart Tokayev presented state awards to the citizens of our country who distinguished themselves during the tragic events and in the aftermath of the explosions at the ammunition depot on June 24 this year in the city of Arys. During the ceremony, 40 people received state awards.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the contribution of businessmen of the country, who have invested a lot of money to restore the houses of Arys. Among the prizewinners, the President awarded the Order "Kurmet", the Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC "Lancaster Group Kazakhstan" Kaniyev Berik. "For cash entrepreneur Berik Kaniev renovated street of the city. And there are many such examples of patriotism of our citizens. It is on such vivid examples of patriotism and selfless mutual assistance that we must educate our youth. Diligence and enthusiasm of builders allowed to restore the city in the shortest possible time", - the Head of state added.
In his speech, the President expressed gratitude to all participants in the rescue of residents and restoration of Arys.
The head of state noted that June 24 will go down in the history of Kazakhstan as the day when our people had a serious test, which we with honor withstood. Despite all the upheavals, the inhabitants of the city and all the people of Kazakhstan has maintained the strength of spirit.
Kasym-Jomart Tokayev said that at present, the restoration work has been completed on 97 % of the objects, first of all, the houses of large families have been rebuilt. On September 1, 16 schools opened their doors, in which 12 thousand students study, 2.5 thousand of them went to the first class.
